Catching Up-Burton Visit

Also in October the Burtons came down for a visit. The kids always have a great time and of course the Mom's get to catch up on all the gab.
With 5 boys around there are lots of trains.

The babies even got to hang out.
Not too sure.
Katie had some great activities for the kids including the Hokey Pokey for the left/right challenged.
We always have to have a group photo.
Left to Right-Cecilia, Dominic, Woody, Joachim, Zeke, Jude and Isaac.

Catching Up-Iowa

So today happens to be a SuperMom kind of day, when things are getting done and I'm feeling pretty good about the type of Mom I am, so I will try to get you caught up.
In the middle of October we took long weekend to visit Adam's Godparents, Aunt Minneu and Uncle Bill in North Liberty, Iowa.
We had a great time getting reacquainted with their family and playing. "Aunt Grandma" had lots in store for the boys...wheel barrow rides,

some park time
digging in the sand,
riding the gator, and children's museum, forgot my camera :(
Adam's cousins were able to spend a lot of time with us and Mike and Alyssa even came down from Minnesota. They were great hosts and we had a great time, even finding time for golfing for the guys and a winery for the ladies. Carolyn and Brandon even planned a trip to come see us in the summer. (Which since I'm so late in posting just happened last week, pics to come!)

One Busy Momma!

Oh my, where has the time gone! So I was looking at a friends blog and happened to see that the last post on my blog was 7 months ago! Really? I know friends and family have been bugging me about updating, but I did not think that it had been that long. Then after looking through my last few posts I realized that Cecilia has grown up so much since then. Sorry! I have become one busy mom. After the first few months of life with 3 children I thought I had it down. Now with Cecilia being mobile there is no time to even think. I often go to a cabinet or closet only to stand there for minutes trying to remember what I was doing. So...I'm sorry...and I will try to get you caught up on what has been going on these last few (or 7!) months!

School Days

Dominic loves school! I got lucky the day I decided to take a picture of him coming out of school, because he happened to be line leader that day.

As excited as he is for school, he seems just as excited to see me! It melts my heart a little!
He always has something "cool" or "great" to show me , but this is the only time he has asked me for tape to hang a project on the wall. Of course, it is a train!
When I asked him to get his train picture, he thought he needed the picture of his train set! Silly guy!
After school on this particular day, we went to the park for a picnic with friends. This is the only picture I took, but I thought it was cute how they were sharing. Emily is in back along for the ride.

Story Time

On Wednesday's while Dominic is at school, Jude goes to storytime. He has many MOPS friends there and has even made some new ones.
Here is Jude sitting patiently on his carpet square between Ashlyn and Aubrie, waiting for the story to begin.

October is National Pizza Month, so they read a story about a pizzeria and then made their very own pizzas! The pizzas were made out of cookies.
Jude is showing me the "cheese" for the pizza (actually coconut) and the toppings were M&Ms
Of course he had to try his creation and since this is Jude we are talking about he had to get frosting ALL over!
So proud of his pizza!!
