Memorial Day: The Unofficial Start of Summer

We are so excited that summer is here!
( Look at that tooth. I now have 2 teeth!)
Summer to us means: 1. playing in the sandbox...
We've gotten good at sharing.

So, unfortunately we didn't get to go to Fr. Shawn's ordination, but we did get to hang out at home with Grandma and Papa.

"I wish they could stay forever" Dominic
Grandma and Jude
Papa and Dominic
Would you believe how lucky we are? When Grandma and Papa left, Grandpa and Grandma came to play!

Lounging with Grandpa (That's me, Jude. It is getting harder to tell Dominic and I apart)
...2. Playing in the ditches...
Daddy and I had so much fun splashing around.
I got a little wet.
Splash, splash, splash!

Jude and I thought this was lots of fun.

I'm getting so big. I pull up on anything I can. Toys, Dominic, whatever.
...3. Sprinklers (Whew, that's cold!)
Hey, where's the water?
Sunscreen model in the making!

And lastly, don't forget to drink lots of water to stay hydrated!

Our visit to Aunt Tracy's

Over the weekend we went to Salina to visit Aunt Tracy. She took us to the zoo!
It was our very first trip to the zoo.

Mom's favorite bear at the zoo-Jude Bear
Aunt Tracy's favorite monkey!

Here's the RioFam, ready for a day at the zoo.

They had these awesome toys in the picnic area. I had so much fun.
Dad even thought they were fun!
We love spending time with our Aunt.
A beautiful day for a beautiful family.

Here we are with the giraffes.
Here's Dad and I IN the bear cage! Good thing that bear was sleeping.
Whew! We made it out alive!
My Aunt is the coolest!

We liked to watch the orangutan.
What are you looking at?
That turtle is bigger than me, but my legs are longer.
Here we are looking at the camels.
It was a great trip to the zoo...
...but boy did it wear me out!
After the zoo and naps, it was off to the Japanese Steakhouse.

Here we are with our chef, I think his name was Benny.
Benny kept us all on the edge of our seats!
The fire was a little scary for Jude and I.
Aunt Tracy told me all about Hibachi cooking.
Jude thought it looked Finger-lickin' good! We all told him it was.
Then it was back to Aunt Tracy's house.
It doesn't take long for us to terrorize a place.
We showed Aunt Tracy how we wrestle.
I liked hanging out on her cool chairs...
...and colorful couch! Thanks for a fun weekend!!

Happy Mother's Day!

To all Moms, especially ours, we hope you had a great Mother's Day!
So Daddy got a little buzz happy
and it did not please Mom on Mother's Day.
But this cute face makes up for it.

Fun at Greenbush

So we went to Greenbush to the high ropes course again. This time Mommy got to play too, but they said we were too little. Maybe next year.
Wow, how brave!
Super Mamma!
It sure was fun to watch.
Big Jude.
I love the great outdoors!
Why is Mom just standing up there on that telephone wire?
Wow Daddy, you're good!

Look at Mom go!
WHEEE! (Mom has always wanted to go down a zipline!)
Dad, why are you dressed like that boy from SNL?
Go Daddy Go.
Its a bird, its a plane, no, its super dad. (Watch out for those blinding white legs!)

And for your viewing pleasure, Mom whiffs on the Pamper's Pole!

Sorry, to see our Dad, the flying squirrel, you will have to turn your head.
